Call for Entries

Viewpoint Gallery’s annual juried exhibit Twelve encourages photographers to interpret an idea suggested by the theme of the show. This year’s theme “Parallels” alludes to the year 2011 itself with its obvious numeric parallel. But it also invites photographers to conjure connections and relatedness within the photographic frame. Entries for Twelve: Parallels may contrast, compare, illuminate, suggest, capture, and express your approach to the theme. In addition to single images, Twelve: Parallels is an opportunity for photographers to enter multiple images as diptychs, triptychs and polyptychs. Each diptych, triptych, or polyptych will be considered to be one entry. Photographers may enter up to six different interpretations.

The goal of Twelve: Parallels is to showcase your unique work in Viewpoint Gallery for patrons to see, appreciate and purchase. All photographers are invited to submit either single or multiple entries. Images created in any form of photography will be accepted for consideration (i.e. film or digital, alternative process, mixed media, digital manipulations, montages, photograms, hand-colored photographs, etc.).

Brian Taylor: Changing NatureEntries must be submitted by midnight PDT on October 28, 2011. All submissions will be electronic using EntryThingy.  You may create your account and log in to the submission process at www.viewpointgallery.org/content/entrythingy. Exhibition-ready prints of accepted submissions may be delivered to the gallery in person or by mail by November 29, 2011. We welcome your photographic submissions.
