Student Photo Contest

This is a great opportunity, guys.  I’ve had students win prizes in the years past, and had their images published as well!  They also have other prizes (as listed below).  You can go to their website for all the details on what sizes/dimensions, file formats, etc.

• Enter black & white or color prints or slides.
• Prints must be unmounted 9×12 or smaller.
• Label every photo with your name and address, and indicate which edge is the top.
• Make checks payable to Photographer’s Forum.
• All entries must include payment, entry form, and photographs.

If sending prints or slides, enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope for return of work. Work will be returned after March 15, 2012. Work with no SASE will be discarded.

WINNING PHOTOS

WINNING PHOTOS will be published in the May 2012 issue of Photographer’s Forum Magazine , entered into Nikon’s Emerging Photographers Hall of Fame and exhibited at Brooks Institute Gallery 27. All contest finalists will be published in the hardcover book Best of College Photography 2012. All HIGH SCHOOL winners, honorable mentions and finalists will be showcased in a special section in the book.

• Early entry fee is $4.95 per photo entered
(uploaded or postmarked on or before October 17, 2011).
• Final entry fee is $5.95 per photo entered
(all entries must be uploaded or postmarked on or before November 21, 2011).
• Rights remain with photographer
• Subject matter is open
• Finalists notified by January 27, 2012
• Winners notified by February 13, 2012

ELIGIBILITY
This contest is open to all college and high school students in the United States, Canada, and around the world.

PLUS Nikon D7000 camera and lens system (MSRP $1,200)
