Student Photography Workshop Scholarships

New to the Viewpoint Student Program is a Workshop Scholarship Fund which provides 20 free half-day workshops held at Viewpoint for full time college students with a photography major.  This new fund has been generously provided to Viewpoint through a private family contribution.  The fund will be reviewed annually for renewal. Upcoming workshops  will be held at Viewpoint Photographic Art Center 2015 J Street Sacramento 95811 and include:

1.  Sharper Focus Series: Black and White Landscape Photography from Vison to Print with Gary Wagner Sat. Sept. 28, 2019 9:00am- noon
2.Expanding your Creativity with Time and Motion Techniques with Lewis Kemper 
Sat. Oct. 12 9:00am- noon
3. Night Photography with Lewis Kemper
Sun. Oct. 13 5:00- 9:00pm

Scholarship Program Overview: The new scholarship program will provide financial aid to full-time high school students and part time and full time college level students of photography for approximately 20 workshops presented at Viewpoint each year. In order to qualify for a workshop scholarship you must be approved by the Student Program Committee. Once approved, you may sign up for any half-day workshop you would like to attend at Viewpoint.

For registration, simply send an e-mail to Diana Proctor at: with the workshop details. Diana will verify student status and then pass on registration information to the workshop of your choice. You will be provided with confirmation details within a week.

To apply for a workshop scholarship, first review the current workshop offerings on the Viewpoint web site, select the half-day workshop you would like to attend and send your request with workshop details to: Please allow 3 to 5 days for a response. For a workshop to run there must be four additional attendees outside the student enrollement(s). If attendance is short, the workshop will be rescheduled. No more than two students may attend a workshop.
