In conjunction with his November 23 workshop on drone photography at Viewpoint, environmental filmmaker Jeff Litton will speak on how aerial imagery gives us the ability to broaden our perspective, offering an authentic view of the world–without party lines, borders, or districts and with the elements of the planet that bring us together.
Litton will provide an aerial tour through his films around the Sierra Nevada and beyond, and then discuss the challenges of learning to fly a drone, the great surprises he found in the air and the inspiring images he captured using a drone. Litton travels the world aboard the National Geographic expedition ships teaching photography, film, and natural history, and also works as an environmental filmmaker for The Nature Conservancy, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, LightHawk, among others.
All students and Viewpoint members are invited to attend Viewpoint Center’s second lecture in our Fall 2019 Student Lecture Series. These free lectures are designed for college and high school students, but are open to all.
