PDN Photo Contest!

Photo District News (PDN), the award-winning monthly magazine for the professional photographer, has been covering the professional photographic industry for over two decades.

In addition to special award of monetary value, the PDN Photo Annual provides entrants with immeasurable exposure in the industry. The competition is consistently acknowledged in PhotoShelter’s guide to photography contests for its recognition among photo editors and buyers. Winners’ galleries are published in PDN, with additional print distribution to influential creatives looking for new and established talent. The PDN Photo Annual has a reputation for prestige and value.

THERE IS NO RISK TO ENTER:

All photographers retain their copyright. Winning work will only be published in the print and online winners’ gallery and in promotion related to the PDN Photo Annual 2018 contest.

COMPETITION PRIZES

1) $10,000 Photographer of the Year Award and a one-page profile in PDN
The Photographer of the Year Award can be awarded to any winner in any category and is selected internally by PDN. The award honors an image-maker who has created an outstanding body of work that reflects the year in photography.
2) The Marty Forscher Fellowship Fund Professional and Student cash Awards
The Marty Forscher Fellowship Fund is sponsored by Parsons The New School for Design and PDN. This award recognizes students and emerging professionals who have outstanding achievements in humanistic photography.
3) The $2,500 PDN Publisher’s Choice Award
The Publisher’s Choice Award can be awarded to any winner in any category and is selected by PDN Publisher Lauren Wendle. The award recognizes exceptional and noteworthy work.

WHO MAY ENTER

Employees of Photo District News^®, and each of their affiliates, subsidiaries and agents, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they live) or persons living in the same households of such individuals, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win a prize. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age as of the date of entry. CONTEST IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
